Akaki Luhahi, DNP, R.N., CIC

My name is Dr. Akaki Luhahi, I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years. As an R.N. I have worked in the pulmonary step down, telemetry, and intensive care unit.  The majority of my nursing career has been in infection control as an infection preventionist.  Additional, experience includes a clinical nurse educator in intensive care units. I am excited to bring and share my vast clinical experiences to the classroom in order to enrich the learning of our students.

• MSN in PICES- Population Infection Control & Environmental Safety (Loyola University- Maywood, IL) graduated in May 2008
• DNP (Doctoral in Nursing Practice) graduated in May 2021 from University of Saint Francis- Joliet
